Job Description Summary:
As a Software Intern, you will play a key role in designing and developing Linux-based embedded software for diagnostic cardiology (DCAR) products. Your work will be both independent and collaborative, contributing to your immediate team as well as supporting other teams across the business.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Engage in hands-on development of Linux-based embedded software, focusing on creating and delivering platform components and applications, as well as troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Design Patterns, and C++ coding principles.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistency and optimize synergies across shared software platforms.
- Ensure compliance with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes during requirements gathering, architecture design, implementation, and verification phases.
- Work efficiently within an Agile Scrum team, consistently striving to enhance the team’s performance.
- Complete all required Quality & Compliance training within the specified deadlines. Promptly identify and report any quality or compliance issues and take immediate corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure adherence to Regulatory and Quality requirements prior to approving Design Outputs or Program Deliverables.
- Take responsibility for the quality of your software, including unit testing and system verification.
Qualifications & Essential Skills:
- Currently in the 3rd or 4th year of a college graduate program or pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant Engineering field, with a preference for Electronics or Software Engineering.
- Proficient in C and C++ programming languages.
- Practical experience with scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, or Python.
- A solid understanding of generative AI concepts.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication and collaboration.
Desired Skills:
- Previous industry experience is preferred.
- Proficient in using source control tools.
- Hardware expertise, particularly in ARM-based processor architecture and familiarity with USB, Flash, LAN, WLAN, and Bluetooth technologies.
- Strong ability to creatively solve problems and develop solutions when faced with conflicting requirements, business demands, and technical challenges.
- Experience with Eclipse and GitLab.
- Practical experience in UI development using QML.
- Working knowledge of Python and the ability to automate integration testing using test frameworks like Squish.
